DOES YOUR RACING HAVE AdBlue SYSTEM?
With AdBlue, SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology is becoming more and more common, not yet implemented in every diesel car, but we expect to see it in all diesel vehicles in the coming years. The newer your vehicle is, the more likely it is to use the AdBlue system to reduce its emissions. Many people are unaware that they have the AdBlue system in their car until a warning message appears on the instrument panel informing you that the AdBlue tank needs to be filled.
If you doubt the existence of an SCR system that requires AdBlue, your vehicle's owner's manual will assist you. You can find and check the location of the AdBlue filler cap from the manual. Its location is usually on the fuel filler cap.
WHAT IS AdBlue SYSTEM?
AdBlue is actually a brand name, it is summarized as "water-based urea solution" when looking at its content. This solution is branded by name in many parts of the world, as AdBlue is the largest manufacturer on the market.
The purpose of AdBlue, which consists of 32.5 percent purified urea and 67.5 percent water, is to reduce the emission of harmful gases from the exhaust of vehicles with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system; that is, to reduce the emission rate”. AdBlue was used mainly in commercial vehicles such as trucks, lorries and passenger buses. AdBlue has been used in some passenger cars of Mercedes and Volkswagen for a while. However, due to Euro 6 emission standards, more and more passenger cars receive AdBlue support today. At this point, we can say that AdBlue has gained great importance due to Euro 6 emission standards. As a matter of fact, according to Euro 6 emission standards, NOx gases should not exceed 0.4g/kWh. Thanks to AdBlue, NOx gases, which are very harmful to the environment, are partially eliminated. Therefore, its usage area is increasing day by day and it is seen more and more.
The AdBlue and SCR system is a relatively complex system that includes a number of electronic sensors, modules and pumps, these systems can fail and be expensive to maintain. A regularly used vehicle will consume a large amount of AdBlue and the tank will need to be refilled regularly.
It should be said that AdBlue does not contribute to your vehicle in terms of fuel economy. So if you think that by using AdBlue you will burn your car less, you have got the wrong idea. As a matter of fact, the main task of AdBlue is not to support your vehicle to burn less, but to reduce the emissions from your vehicle to a minimum.
WHAT IS ADBlue SYSTEM CANCELLATION?
Due to the fact that the failure of Adblue systems is quite costly in our country; As an alternative solution, annulment is sought.
In Germany, which has the highest consumption / usage rate of the Adblue system, a great increase is observed in the cancellation of Adblue by drivers and companies. No damage has been detected so far in the feedback regarding the cancellation of AdBlue.
Long-distance buses that mostly prefer Adblue cancellation, buses, trucks, pickup trucks, minibus-style vehicles that carry freight and passengers in general, and approximately 1 million km have been traveled after Adblue cancellation and it has been observed that there is no damage determined.
Adblue has been canceled with 2 different methods so far. The first option is Adblue removal, which is a 100% permanent solution with software. The second option is the option based on 70% solution rate with emulator (misleading). However, in this option, in addition to the emulator prices, it is observed that the emulator malfunctions in the following processes. For this reason, Adblue removal, which is done directly on the vehicle engine brain (ECU) with software in general, is a more precise and 100% permanent solution.
When NOX sensor malfunction, SCR and DPF system malfunction is encountered, the traction power of the vehicles decreases systematically and speed limitation occurs. Short-term solution is difficult and costly. In addition, since it is not mandatory in some countries, there is difficulty in obtaining Adblue liquid.
